Indirect Heater

A water bath heater liberates heat in a separate chamber, normally a fire tube. The heat is then transferred to the process stream through a media such as water or glycol.

Primary advantages of indirect heating:

  • Heating media transfers heat evenly
  • The temperature of the coil inside the wall is lower, thus reducing chances of caking, scaling and plugging which are common direct heating problems
